This is a project I’ve kept under wraps since I started it a couple of days ago, but I thought I would go ahead and make an announcement about it since its coming along very well.

Since the iPhone/iPod Touch version of the Facebook website does not support Facebook Chat, I thought I would make my own Facebook Chat web application.  Here is what I have been able to accomplish so far:

• Login to Facebook
• Retrieve buddy list
• Send message to online friend
• Receive messages from friends

That being said, there are still a decent number of bugs to work out before its ready for a public beta.  I would like to take this opportunity as well to say I would never have been able to get this far if it wasn’t for this blog post by coderrr.  I will keep this blog updated as I make more progress.
