This is a quicky render I did for my Digital Imaging class. If you know anything about 3D modeling, heres how I did it (if you don’t you can ignore what I’m going to say): I made a spline on the Y-X plane in the shape of the outline of the water with the ripples. I then placed it into a Lathe NURBS object which essentially makes that spline into an object in a circular fashion around the first point of the spline. The water droplets were spheres placed into a metaball object and positioned so that their surfaces attracted each other.
